1. On the downside - breakfast is a joke (juice, toast and coffee), TV reception is unusually bad (I tried it in two different rooms), and while the neighborhood may still be called Union Square, it feels more like the edge of the Tenderloin.

2. The only real downside was that the hotel seems to have a bit of a youth-hostel vibe: Each night it seemed, partying 20-somethings blasted their boomboxes with their windows and/or doors propped open.

5. The Adante was in a good location, within walking distance to Union Square, only downside is there are quite a few homeless people nearby who beg for money but they don`t pose any real threat.
