1. San Francisco is a really safe city - not once did we feel uncomfortable (although Frank did point out the areas to avoid at night).

5. We never felt uncomfortable walking around the immediate area, and there are lots of restaurants on Polk a block away, there was this GREAT crepe place that has a great variety of crepes and other things, the roasted eggplant sandwich was delicious.
