1. Only downside would be that there isnt much round it but as we were using it as a base and driving to different areas/attractions it was ok.

2. The only downside is that if you forget to bring toothpast or a toothbrush, you will have to buy it in their sundry shop however walmart is 5 minutes away, so you can go there.
