1. We had expensive meals at Hua Tree Restaurant (huge portions, outside tables on beach under banyan trees), Taormina Restaurant, Italian/Japanese fusion, and Orchid's in the Halekalani Hotel.

8. The room was very spacious- much larger than what we thought we would get for the price (3 beds and it had a kitchenette); the very long dresser easily fit all of our clothes- a feat not matched by more expensive hotels at which we've stayed.
