1. Instead of the cold continental breakfast they serve, they could perhaps offer hard boiled eggs, cheese slices, yogurts, and maybe some apples and bananas - not a big expense.

5. However, the hotel has so much character, it's hard to fault it - from the pusscat that wanders around (I found him fast asleep at the head of the table in the breakfast room), to the cheery staff, it was a delight.

6. The breakfast consisted of watered down frozen orange juice, rock hard donuts and minibagels, yogurt, and 2 kinds of cereal; a couple of times, there were also a few hard boiled eggs on the table, but only one saltshaker to share with other guests.

7. We were possibly upgraded from our original digs cuz we somehow ended up in a 1st floor suite that was bigger than my entire apartment in NYC (granted, not hard to do) and well less than $200 a night).
