1. It is NOT for everyone, but if you love historic inns, great food (yes, our dinner experiences were great despite a previous comment), superb service, and outstanding landscaping and private garden spaces for your personal use--this is the right place for you.

9. We had made dinner reservations beforehand, but stopped by early afternoon to see where we'd be sitting, once the hostess showed us our reserved table, we asked to be changed to the main dining room, seated by the window, and we were not disappointed.
