5. The four of us had 2 rooms in the 'motel / hotel' part as we learned that the cottages themselves get booked up around a year in advance (we can see why- they looked so cute!) The location is fantastic - right on the beautiful beach; the only downside is that San Diego had rain while we were there (and being British it is not what we expected - a taxi driver blamed us for bringing the weather with us.
