After an hour and a half (literally) of discussion/arguments with the
manager
, we finally were able to have the money we paid for that night transferred to the new hotel as a credit, which the
manager
did NOT want to do.

The person who helped us check in was extremely unfriendly and couldn`t seem to find in her records the 50% deposit we had already paid, which took a good 20 minutes for her to discuss with her
manager
.

The girl behind the desk got very surly when we questioned the bill and kept saying that $90 of the bill was a surcharge (even though she had earlier said the surcharge was 55% and she couldn't understand that this amount was more like 300%) We finally got talking to a
manager
who realised there was a problem and kept us waiting FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF while she rang AT&T to find out the price of the call.
