1. Located across the street from Harrahs, (it you like to gamble), and a few blocks from Bourbon street, makes this a great location.

2. Very close to Bourbon Street and French Quarter with a few nice little restaurants very close by as well like Mothers Famous Ham and some higher end places as well.

3. Harrah's Casino is directly across the streets, the acclaimed Mother's restaurant (think Diners, Drive-ins and Dives) is down the block perfect for breakfast and John Besh's Restaurant August is also across the street for a wonderful French dinner.

4. It was a nice place for a few early drinks or bite to eat before heading out to the crazy bourbon street or wherever you wanted for the evening.

7. Little kids and families on the side of the street, dressed up in carnival outfits with funny hats, adults (fully dressed) and enjoying themselves, high school and military bands, it was one of the best parades we've ever seen.

10. The people appreciate the tourism and the restaurants, Commander's Palace and NOLA, Pat O'Briens, Preservation Hall, Bourbon Street, and a tour recommended by the hotel outside French Quarter was such a special treat.
