1. It has easy access to city bus service to downtown, so we didn't have to rent a car at all, bus service was excellent , on time every hour up to 9:30 PM, were even able to get to Grand Ol' Opry by bus from downtown.

5. We had the breakfast bar at Shoneys [across the street], Jack in the Box [off of Elm Hill], and Old Spaghetti Factory [off of 2nd ave in downtown Nashville].

7. Musical gear was still in vehicles the next morning!:) I've stayed at Lowes, Sheraton Music City, and the Wyndham Union Station, and LaQuinta was a GREAT value for the $$$ 10 mins from downtown / Vanderbuilt area.

9. Safety is an issue when booking Nashville hotels if you`re not familiar with the area - this is a SAFE area and would be comfortable with my GRANDMOTHER booking her own room there :) Will DEFINITELY recommend to others I know who don`t want to spend the $$ to stay downtown.

10. We typically stay downtown (Lowes, Wyndham Union Station, Doubletree, Hilton, Renaissance) Having said that - I am accustomed to 'swankier' hotel accomodations, and just couldn't afford those prices this trip.
