1. It is located off some one-way streets and, if you drive, can be a bit confusing where to park and locate the front.

3. The self park was a hassle (I think they make it that way so you pay the extra for the valet) there is no ticket machine, you have to park on the street or in front in the emergency zone and walk inside to check in then get a key card to access the self parking lot.

Pros - Location - Jump on the trolley to Beale Street or Union Ave Staff is attentive and friendly Comfortable clean bedGreat "space" in room Cons - Parking fees are outrageous - $13 for self park / $18 for Valet If you have to self park you have to park across the street, then take a small escalator up and then walk across a busy road.

7. We have stayed downtown many times and usually crowded and difficult to park, etc. Not so at the Marriott Downtown.
