Some Pros: Awesome location; very friendly and courteous staff at check in and check out; room amenities very nice and clean; I thoroughly enjoyed the bed and the linens; free Wall Street Journal available as opposed to the typical USA Today; Some Cons: The free breakfast didn't meet my expectations based on other free breakfasts I have received at other establishments as there wasn't any hot food other than the 'make your own' waffle station.

9. The ONLY hiccup we had was that we arrived around noon and were told check-in was at 3 pm so we walked down to Beale St.

I found the hotel easily and asked if, having booked, there was any chance of an early check in - unfortunately there wasn't but the helpful desk manager let me leave my luggage behind the desk and said that although check in was not officially until 3pm, I should be able to check in about 1pm.
