1. There is a Whole Foods nearby and you can easily walk 2 blocks under the fwy to the Sherman Oaks Galleria for movies at the Arclight and great happy hour dining @ Cheesecake Factory (4-6), El Torito Grill (4-8) or PF Changs (3-6).

6. Chain places only though - Cheesecake Factory, El Toritos, Fuddruckers etcOther stuff to think about (not necessarily negative)-apart from the mall, not much else within walking distance-valet parking good but USD 22 per day (plus tips).

7. Location is great -- a lot of restaurants within walking distance; a convenience store to the left of the hotel; & some on-street parking, also to the left, if you are brave enough to take the chance on availability.

8. It`s a great location (right next to the ramp onto the 405) in terms of getting to beverly hills, hollywood or santa monica, but there are also plenty of shops & restaurants along venture blvd to check out (even within walking distance).
