3. As far as bugs go, this is Houston, it has the tropical climate that bugs adore, get over it (when I lived in Houston, it was impossible to get rid of the bugs and they were only kept within reasonable bounds by the large number of lizards in the area).

4. The neighborhood is not River Oaks but the motel is midway between the Southwest Freeway and Richmond Ave (2 blocks from each) and, as a largely commercial area, is somewhat deserted at night.

5. I was pleasantly surprised to have a large, clean almost mini-suite (the bed area separated from the sitting area by a waist-high divider).
