1. Next time in Dallas, I will look for something with room service and perhaps a restaurant or two within walking distance in a neighborhood that feels a bit safer.

10. Lots of restaurants in the area worth trying, too many to name, but my faves are Herrera's for Mexican, on Maple, Truluck's, pricy on McKinney, and the cozy La Madeleine on Lemmon for an occasional French breakfast or crepe.
