On this trip, I knew I was checking into the hotel late on a weeknight and called the day before my arrival to ask Jeff, the Manager-on-Duty, to have the Club Lounge save me a plate of food from the hors d'oeuvres hour on the evening of my arrival; wow, an incredibly delicious pasta dish with shrimp and bacon was waiting for me in the lounge when I arrived.

6. They have "movie night" in the concierge club on Wednesday nights, and one morning, I woke up to the General Manager cooking us pancakes.

7. Attentive valet/bellman, managers greeting guests and casually sttending the lobby, friendly front desk girls who checked up in quickly into our guaranteed room type.
