Within a five-minute walk are lots of stores and restaurants: during my seven or eight stays here I've shopped at Joseph A Banks, Ross, CVS, and a branch of the well-stocked discount-shoe chain whose three initials I can never remember, and I've eaten at California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, and La Madeleine, along with a Texas-flavor barbecue/seafood place and a taqueria.
