1. And seemed, again, to be more like a pool area you might find in a mid to lower-end apartment complex; small, plain, and certainly not resort-like.

2. My room was huge (it's a studio), the pool was clean and shaded, the folks at the front desk were all very friendly, and even the breakfast was way above normal hotel free breakfasts.
