Positives: great location, clean, decent breakfast at restaurant in atrium, courteous staff at deskNegatives: interior rooms are very dim because they overlook the atrium which gets no natural light, interior rooms also have problems with noise coming from the restaurant (plates clattering, phone ringing), problems with plumbing, paint was peeling on ceiling in showerThere were signs in the lobby indicating that they are going through renovations, so hopefully things will improve.

2. I didn`t walk around the neighborhood during this stay, but I know from past experience that there`s a great (if crowded, busy, with a long wait) place for breakfast called Zaftig`s less than a half mile away, a good restaurant called Jae`s really nearby, and some other good dining within a mile.
