The parking rate for guests ($20/day) is the best you'll find in
downtown
Boston, it's a short walk around Fenway to the Kenmore Square T station which makes a trip to Copley Square only two stops and Boston Comon/Qunicy Market/Faneuil Hall a 15-20 minute trip.

If you dont want to pay a lot of money on a hotel in the
downtown
area this is definitly a good option, since it's easy to get
downtown
from there.

It's not easy for an older
downtown
hotel to compete with the big guys but the HoJo's hasn't let me down yet.

All-in-all you could pay hundered of dollars per night to stay a few blocks closer to
downtown
and for some imenities you probably won't use, but if you're traveling with a family and try to watch your spending habits, you really can't go wrong with Howard Johnson-Fenway Park.

I was recently in Boston for the 114th Boston Marathon with my wife and three boy's (ages 14, 12, and 6) and we were looking for a hotel in
downtown
Boston that was close to a 'T' stop, dining, and the race expo/finish.
