1. We had a lovely view of the river and cascades, a fireplace, large room, etc. The complimentary breakfast was the best that we had in 12 different hotels - not crowded, real scrambled eggs and bacon, etc. Also, the location is great in the Mill District - we had a nice walk, window shopped and had great peruvian food.

2. After all day in the car, it was perfect to walk down the hill to the Old Mill and get something to eat.

3. Note for early risers who like good coffee: the Old Mill coffee shop doesn't open til 8; head downtown (very close -- and fun to walk around) to the local grind or Starbucks.
