1. The walk could be sketchy for a couple of blocks and you'd be hit up to buy some 'rocks' or whatever they are trying to sell, but you wouldn't get mugged.

2. In mid 2009 spent 8 days at the Plaza, while we were there had to go To the Western twice, but no Bingo, just lot of good food, free drinks, and loose slots, we walk out up $650.
