1. It is still a very nice hotel, it's clean, nice rooms, friendly staff but the hipness factor has deteriorated a lot since my first stay.

3. I enjoyed my holiday and stayed in many nice establishments, but to be honest this was one of the worst experience of my life, and to pay decent money for a hotel one would expect to be treated with respect and not the way in which I was treated by the staff of the Standard.
