Unfortunately, the dinner options from the onsite restaurant are of the fast
food
type: fries, burgers, onion rings, and pizza.

they gave us an excellent recommendation for Mexican
food
(good thing the shuttle was there to drive us back) Their 'happy hour' was just what we needed, although make sure you get your coupon.

Breakfast was reasonable - make-your-own waffles, eggs, cereal, juices, but the
food
was cold when we arrived at 8:00a.

The breakfast was really good and they even supplied trays to be able to carry breakfast back to your room which was nice since no others do and I am usually left to 2 or 3 trips to the buffet getting
food
for everyone since they are usually asleep till breakfast is over :-) I didnt visit the pool area but my inlaws room was over it and said it looked really nice.

Unlike so-called 'fancy hotels' that charge high prices for every bit of available
food
or drink, the Clubhouse offers a full breakfast (eggs, meat, great hash browns, etc.) buffet in the morning and a (2 free drink) social event in the evening for no additional lodging charge.

Add to that the vaunted 'manager's reception' each day except Sunday evening, a nice extra touch, with its free alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks and snacks and it is hard to imagine how others have in the past been so critical of the
food
service.
