1. You can catch a bus at Civic Center (short walking distance), find a lot of restaurants in the area, and it's close to one of the main road (Geary).

3. There is plenty to see and do in this area, but it is not a pretty part of town and there are homeless people everywhere.

4. The hotel is a mere two blocks from the Opera House in an area that seems to be a lot better than many other SF downtown areas, surrounded by many, many good restaurants.

6. The Inn itself is nestled amongst residential apartment complexes and relatively safe, but although city hall is only a couple blocks away the civic center area isn't the friendliest after dark so I wouldn't risk wandering the streets at night.
