1. The sight that awaits was amazing, on approaching the Wharf you can see Alcatraz (the night trip we did to 'The Rock' was fantastic) and a little walk further towards the Piers and you see the Golden Gate Bridge.

5. If you like walking you can walk to the beach and harbor in 10 minutes, about 20 minutes to the Italian area (avoid direct confrontation with the hills) and you can hop on a bus (drivers very helpful) to anywhere in the city.

7. It`s a great location- just a couple of blocks from buslines that will take you to any part of the city, a nice walk to the Crookedest Street area and not too far of a walk to Fillmore/Union where there were decent shops and restaurants.
