The hotel is just steps from the beach and lincoln road (a no-traffic cafe and shop lined strip that is always bustling with for eating shopping and people-watching) The big hotels, like the Delano, Shore Club, Ritz and Setai are all close by, we went to thier bars a few nights and enjoyed the luxury that 2000 a night can afford you (compared with our rate which came to about $100 a night after the taxes)Having been to South Beach before, I knew that we needed to bring a beach blanket, as only the really pricey hotels provide chairs on the beach.

9. Self-service is sold as a 'cool' feature ('free espresso all day!') but really reminded my of a holiday camp and not of a hotel with day rates uo to $ 475.
