1. I was stuck in an airport in another city in the middle of the night so I called the hotel to say I wouldn't get there on time, but might be there at 3 am if the plane connection worked.

2. Clean, properly lighted, big comfy bed, well appointed bathroom, a nice and simple but limited breakfast, safety deposit at the front desk where there were wonderful to call us a cab to the airport.
