4. Oddly, the bar restaurant did not accept room charges for reasons nobody seemed to understand, but the food was decent, the beer was cold, and the hotel was warm.

5. The front desk guy was very helpful and sympathetic in getting me checked in quickly, and over to the bar to get some food before they closed at 10pm.
