1. We got the base rate room, as we didn't plan on spending much time in the room, and outside of sleeping and eating we were at the water park from check in until 4pm the following day.

2. Although the room rates seemed pricey, you get 2 days in the water park, so it's probably cheaper than a hotel with 2 days of admission at a amusement park.
