2. Note Laurelwood has (currently) no pool access, only a (nice) hot tub, and (in my opinion) the restaurant quality in Snowmass Village continues to go down (as the prices go up).

3. On the other hand, if you go to Aspen for hiking as we do and do not plan to spend too much time in your room, having the kitchenet (for early breakfast) is great -- so if the price is right, Laurelwood is a great place to stay.
