1. I had to use the sink in the lobby toilet to wet the face towel in order to clean the sticky syrup from the table - not impressed.

2. Some of the bath towels were so used, they had holes in them.

3. Free parking and free internet were a plus (it's $10 to park for a game) Also, they had MORE towels than we needed.

4. I asked if I could have a cloth to clean the table (obviously expecting that the reply would be 'Oh, don't worry we'll see to that') so imagine my surprise when the domestic assistant said, 'I'll get you one' and then returned some minutes later with a dry face towel.

5. Here are 15 reasons why:• light bulb in floor lamp was burned out• nail clippings in blanket on bed• hair in ‘clean’ wash cloth• wet wash cloth left in closet• too few towels/wash cloths for guests• slow-moving drain (to require plunging)• bathroom fan not functioning• one bar (total) of soap for both bath and sink• substandard grade of shampoo (did not lather)• landscaping not maintained (weeds)• swimming pool not maintained – closed (green slime)• one elevator not functioning• game parking in hotel – paying guests sent to back of parking lot rather than game attendees• old fruit at continental breakfast – bananas bruised and black on inside• stale muffins at continental breakfast – rubbery textureI will NEVER stay in another Choice Hotels facility.

6. While I was staying there, they made us pay twice as much as they had told us before on the phone(they had told us one price three times and still made us pay extra), the carpets looked like they hadn't been vaccuumed in a year, the air conditioning didn't work because the filter hadn't been changed, and they ran out of towels.
