2. When we checked in and took the elevator down to get to our room, we thought 'Uh oh, this must be where they put the people who get the discounted rates!' we opened the door to our room and were very relieved to see a very nice room.

3. while checking in, it was cold, emotionless, ignored my gold/nearly platinum status, military/gov discount, AAA discount, and signed me in as a walk-in at a rate higher than if i were to stand there in front of them and check in on my phone.
