1. We usually stay in downtown Portland & it's more dog-friendly than the 'burbs -- better choices for hotels and food -- makes it worth the extra cost and the trek out to Hillsboro.

3. ) and the breakfast could have been a little better (husband ate it every day and felt satisfied, but wife found the scrambled egg french fries too fake to even try), but this is a really good find just west of the Zoo in Portland.
