The lobby is very attractive and comfortable - unfortunately the guest rooms don't (yet) live up to that standard, Furniture and fixtures are dated, there are not enough outlets for traveling businesspeople or kids with electronics to charge, our couch was stained, I found beds stiff and uncomfortable, but my family thought they were ok.

2. To make things affordable we booked only one room with two queen beds and added a rollaway bed (at no extra charge).

3. The sofa bed in our room was very uncomfortable so they kindly sent up a roll-away bed (no extra charge).

4. For shoppers, there's the Newport Mall across the road and other shopping as well (btw, New Jersey doesn't charge sales tax on clothing!) Also within walking distance is a deli, Starbucks and a waterfront view of downtown Manhattan.
