2. Considering the price (quite reasonable), the location (near the Detroit Institute of Art), the breakfast (quite a spread), and the pleasant staff, this is a real find.

It is older, and more like a B&B, so don't expect all of the extras that you get with the chain hotels, but the morning breakfast buffet is great (included in the price), the free shuttle is great, the location in the cultural area is nice and seems safe, and overall it is just a really neat place.

I was attracted to the Inn on Ferry Street for several reasons: It was close to the theatre, but not down town, the pictures on the website looked stunning, the price was what I would have paid for a lesser quality stay somewhere else, but most of all there was free shuttle service to the theatre.
