1. There is not much in the immediate area, however Six Flags Great America was a short 10 minute drive away.

2. They provide snacks and microwaveable frozen meals, but who wants that? There isn't even a decent restaurant in the vicinity and since the roads in the area are very poorly marked, it's hard to get to the restaurants listed in the booklet without getting lost a few times.
