1. We were visiting the Great Lakes RTC base and this was a nice hotel between Chicago and the base.

For the money, this is far and away the better hotel - the staff is friendly and helpful, the indoor atrium with fountains was a welcome oasis at the end of a hectic day, there is attentive room service (they give you a call when the food is on the way!) and a good size pool you can actually swim laps in.

10. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and offers decent amenities - such as a pool, sauna, hot tub, parking included, etc. While the hotel's restaurant is obscenely priced, there are fortunately many appropriately priced restaurants within a 3 minute drive.
