1. no compensation was offered, but I did contact the general manager (who was on vacation during our weekend stay) the following week and she sent us a coupon for a complimentary night at their location.

2. Each time we had to have our keys re-done, the staff was apologetic but could offer no real explanation for the problem, other than the possibility that our cell phone could have been near the key to cause it to be de-magnetized.
