1. Who ever said 'pictures say it all, well, the pictures were beautiful but when you see the house in person the pool area and garden area, you wouldn't even know you were on Duval St.

4. Duval, charming old Victorian, w/ 2 pools,parking, spacious room, good breakfast in a nicely landscaped backyardand pool area.

5. They do not allow cell phones or computers in the garden/pool area which is a big +++++, nothing worse than trying to relax and having someone talking in a loud voice on a cell phone right next to you.

7. The pool area is lushly tropical and serene, my room was clean and quite lovely, and it was fun to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by after a long day of doing touristy activities.

They took me without a reservation (the hotel I had originally booked my stay at was utterly unacceptable), it's located close enough to the city center to be convenient, but far enough away from the busiest area to be quiet and relaxing, and the staff was helpful, friendly and always courteous.

9. Only thing that did not appeal to us was the garden area as the pool is small and not condusive to getting sun as the trees hover in that area.
