1. everyone was waiting (quite a crowd with the Memorial Day long weekend) and the staff appeared to be struggling to decide whether to appease the guests or let them starve.

2. It appears that they stopped short of a complete renovation as our king sized bed was clearly tired, the sheets were quite old, and so did the towels.

3. It appears it has been recently renovated with new carpeting, bathroom fixtures, decoration and even a brand new shower curtain.
