1. I showed up late at the hotel to find people drinking and smoking in the parking lot, the desk clerk breaking in a new security guard, and a woman in a bathrobe complaining about not enough towels, the need for a bath mat, and the abundance of mold on her shower curtain.

3. My return to the hotel my second night showed even people congregating in the parking lot, bottle of beer barring use of some spots, and no sign of the security guard.

4. Added to this was what appeared a family of some sorts who were dragging hotel room chairs out to the parking lot where they were sitting around grilling out in the rain, which must be really good for the hotel chairs.
