4. This lovely hotel near Georgetown has everything you need in a small, boutique hotel; proximity to shops, a variety of restaurants and a fabulous, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

5. And if you eat in the bar/restaurant (which is pretty good and reasonably priced) be sure to try to Potatoes Au Gratin (unless you don't want to dream about them forever and ever - they are delish!) The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable.

7. The hotels offers a van service for those visiting colleges and universities and there are plenty of restaurants and shops all along Wisconsin Avenue.

10. It is Georgetown's upper village, there are nice restaurants and shops nearby, and it is a 25 minute walk to either M Street or the university.
