The bed was very comfortable.
Bed was comfy, pillows were horrible though, but got used to it and made due after night one.

We do the white sock test and have asked them to clean our carpets, replace our shower head because they are 20 years old and have no pressure ie: maintenance man says ' some rooms have new shower heads', look under the bed to see if they have vacumed only to find old sandwiches and stuff and pull the sheets off to see if thier are bed bugs.
While this hotel is old, it is clear they have tried to make some updates - new countertops and sinks in the bathroom/wet bars, nice linens/beds, and rounded shower curtains - and it was very clean.

Had to move to another room based on industrial smell that maintenance confirmed but could not identify.
and the CONS got to be too overwhelming so we finally checked out: broken iron in room, rotten creamer in room, only one remote control for two rooms/two tv's, a few small ants in room, no phone book in room, hotel directory in room missing pages, each bed had holes in sheets, bathroom had visible mold, third floor balcony and door didn't seem safe for kids, old/broken/stained furniture and carpeting, keys didn't always work and front desk guy blamed it on me, a rougher type crowd than I am used to was hanging out by the pool a couple of the nights, we ordered from the only food service available in their hotel directory the first night and my son found a piece of metal in his pizza- the food service company was very polite to my husband on the phone about it though, 50% of the staff was rude, the decor was interesting but it felt depressing to me instead of fun, the back parking lot (where we were told to park) was really cramped and it didn't feel very safe- maybe just too isolated or dark or something.

Very subpar for an Embassy Suites.
We were traveling with our teen age son so we chose a suite as it was less expensive than getting him his own hotel room elsewhere.

The bathroom was tiny.
Also, the bathroom door was a little dirty.
