1. Parked my car for free, used the free 'R' bus to get around one day; front desk was very helpful with my tourist questions and with suggestions.

' She ignored us for a few more minutes, then retrieved a handful of complementary toiletries from a storage closet and handed them over to Maria ( I presume), while complaining, 'WHY can`t people just remember to pack their [--]?' She then finally acknowledged our presence at the front desk, saying 'I could use some help up in here, that`s what!' We got checked in eventually - no pleasantries were exchanged, no well-wishes for a pleasant stay, etc. Now, I am well aware that this is not the Ritz-Carlton, but even my minimal service expectations for any hotel were far from being met.

9. To top it off the cab that the front desk called for my return trip to the airport totally ripped me off, charging me $45 dollars for a traffic-free ride that should have cost no more than $25.
