Astor on the Park

• Very clean but basic rooms, good view over central park.

• Front rooms have nice view of central park (though no overview).

• I must admit however the sheets and towels were very clean.

• The best part of our room was the bathroom, which was quite large by comparison, though the towels were rather threadbare.

• King sized bed which was comfortable.

• Bed was hard, but pillows were nice and soft.

• The shower pressure was good and the water warm.

• only good thing was the shower!complained a few times to reception staff, but nothing was done.

• clean tidy bathroom looked tired.

• The rooms are tiny but you get your own bathroom.

• My husband and I stayed here as we went to NYC to get married and wanted and small, mid-buget nice hotel and we told that this was the one that we wanted the photos we where shown where completly missleading, it looked like they redeocrated onr or two rooms but not the others the room we where given was an upgrade and i dread to think what our original room would of looked like the carpets are thread bare, the lock on the doors where barley hanging on, the plumbing was hangging out of the walls and the whole place looked dirty and i cried when i saw our room and if we had more money we would of moved hotels the hotel for some people maybe the wrong end of the island however i ded love being so close to the park and my husband loved the food avalible in harlem but we if we go back we would be looking to stay the other end nearer tribeca or greenwich the staff where friendly and nice but i wouldn't recomemed this hotel as i was so disapponted by what we where told to expect.
