Fitzgerald Hotel Union Square

• The rooms are small but they have everything you need, a confortable bed with two nice pillows, a large mirror to check yourself out before going out, and a nice and clean bathroom.

• The queen sized bed was super comfortable with a plush comforter and lots of pillows.

• So for $219 per night you get:- The person who checked me in barely spoke English- Elevator out of a Hitchcock horror movie- Room so small you can barely move around- No desk- No place to put suitcase- Closet about a foot wide with 3 hangers- No coffeemaker and no coffee downstairs other than during breakfast- Tiny TV- No air conditioning- The power in my room shorted out at least 3 times (so far, have 1 night to go), even after the promise that an engineer would come to fix itPlus points- Bar fridge- Water pressure in shower pretty good.

• The room wasn't massive, but it had a great large double bed, that dominated the room.

• Comfortable bed.

• Bathroom was clean.

• Tiny bathroom, also clean but with nowhere to keep your toiletries.

• The room was tiny (about 8x10) and not very clean.

• Our room on the top floor with double beds had an odd musty smell which we did not like.
