1. good karma while I'm there maybe :) The Cabana Suites are plush, and there is security routinely visible, and everyone at the El Cortez cares about the casino and the people there, so no worries, its safe.

2. A word of warning though be careful walking the 2 blocks back to the El Cortez from Fremont St.

3. Would I recommend this place? If you are here to gamble and not care about shows, nightlife or bragging where you stayed, this is your place.

4. i have been to there approx 8 times i have stayed at many hotels i have stayed in the tower the old part and they cabana suites and i have to say i really enjoyed the cabana suites and the tower was nice but i didnt care for the older rooms as they are really run down as for the rest of the hotel there is alot of people that know me and my wife by first name (that might mean we go to much) the casino section has many slots but not alot of card tables which is kind of a down fall seen as all i play is black jack and roulette but its nice because it never really gets to busy which i like even better.

7. The decor in the room needs a little help, but who cares? This was my longest trip to Vegas, almost two weeks, and I always felt at home and really appreciated the staff.

10. This is an older hotel/casino with hospilatity and take the extra step to ensuring that their guests are taken care of while staying with them.
