1. The tour includes up town, downtown and Brooklyn and is hop on hop off for 72 hours which is definitely required as there is so much to see.

2. Night-life: Hotel is in mid-town Manhattan, and there are a number of bars nearby, but get taxi downtown to Greenwich Village or Soho or Meatpacking District, if you're looking for late bars.

6. We got a one day pass to the subway for one of the days and went downtown to see Ground Zero, and then hopped back slowly, stopping at every subway stop through Soho, Little Italy, etc. Otherwise, we just walked.
