1. The room was nice and clean (mini bar prices were a bit outrageous) and they did a great job in suppressing the smell of cigarette smoke in the casino.

9. Pros: convenient to other hotels/casinos if you want to walk around, casino floor has a lot of options and is a usual choice for me to go to when in Vegas (video roulette!), nice choice of restaurants and casual eateries, helpful staffCons: room was sparse and outdated, no mini bars or fridge (that's a requirement for me nowadays), noise from hallways and adjacent rooms are very audible, room has a funny smell initially (but you get used to it)Main reason for staying at the MGM Grand was that visiting family did not want to spend much money on a room for several days but did not want a dive hotel to stay in.

10. The downside was i don't like the room ambiance, it's clean and big but if you're nose is sensitive to smell, i don't think you would like to stay in the room.

If you like big crowds, acrid thick second hand smoke, indifferent hotel rules that demean you and default you into being treated like cattle, no hot water in the shower, stinky cigarette smelling rooms, no freebees unless you beg, a fire alarm that went off at 12:30 because some nut smoked in the hallway, an old box TV from the 90's, kid unfriendly, this is for you.
